The Cleanse. It's amazing what food does to your body and how our bodies react to food. I did this cleanse last year which I discovered on "The Ultimate Candida Diet" website. I couldn't believe how drastically changing the way I ate changed my body, my mood, my skin my sleep and so much more. I bought the book and waited a year before I could actually commit because it just seemed so daunting. No bread or coffee for 80 days was incomprehensible (insert wide eyed emoji here). I have a couple of clients at my Pilates studio who follow a candida diet around this time every year so last year I decided to take the plunge and go for it with them. This is why I am starting this blog; because I know there are so many people who want to make the change in their diet and way of eating but it's so hard to do on your own. I hope I can be your motivation along the way. The official Candida Diet lasts 80 days but I am asking everyone to make the commitment for just 30 days with me. I'll be going for the full shebang so you are welcome to continue for the full 80 days. I've had a pretty healthy diet preparing most breakfasts and dinners having lunch and on the go but I definitely felt the build up of years of carbs and sugar catching up to me. After doing the research and following this eating plan I realized that EVERYTHING we eat is either sugar or turns into sugar. I thought "what the hell am I going to eat" but it made me look at a dinner menu differently at restaurants and I got creative in the kitchen. I will be sharing recipes, exercises and some little tips to help along the way. In addition to getting mentally prepared we've got to get our kitchen prepared.
